Google goggles:

Google are close to launch the new revolutionary technology “Google goggles” which allow users all the features of SmartPhones.

Google goggles will contain the some extraordinary features such as it is believed that it will allow you to make calls with inbuilt microphone, surfing the net and email.

The main menu will be controlled with the help of pointer which can be moved with the little tilt of head.

Google goggles users can deactivate the surfing mode and use the goggles as like normal ones.

This revolutionary device will use the 3G technology or the next-generation 4G mobile networks and reports are suggesting that these goggles will coast less then iPhone and might be available in the end of this year.

Seth Weintraub from the 9 to 5 Google blog said: “The system currently used is a head tilting to scroll and click, We are told it is very quick to learn and once the user is adept at navigation, it becomes second nature and almost indistinguishable to outside users.

“These glasses, we heard, have a front-facing camera used to gather information and could aid in augmented reality apps. The heads-up display is only for one eye and on the side.”

Microsoft vs Google:

Microsoft’s corporate vice president for Internet Explorer claimed that Google is bypassing the privacy settings of internet explorer’s users.

Mr. Dean Hachamovitch said that they find out about it after they read about Google’s bypassing of privacy settings of Apple’s Safari browser.

Microsoft claimed that Google is using the same tactic that they use against Safari as they got the default privacy protections in Internet Explorer and track IE users with cookies.

Mr Hachamovitch yesterday wrote blog post which reads: “When the IE team heard that Google had bypassed user privacy settings on Safari, we asked ourselves a simple question: Is Google circumventing the privacy preferences of Internet Explorer users too? We’ve discovered the answer is yes: Google is employing similar methods to get around the default privacy protections in IE and track IE users with cookies.”

While on the other hand Google’s senior Vice President of Communications and Policy Rachel Whetstone said: “Microsoft omitted important information from its blog post,”

“Microsoft uses a “self-declaration” protocol – known as “P3P” – dating from 2002 under which Microsoft asks websites to represent their privacy practices in machine-readable form. It is well known – including by Microsoft – that it is impractical to comply with Microsoft’s request while providing modern web functionality. We have been open about our approach, as have many other websites,”

“Today the Microsoft policy is widely non-operational. A 2010 research report indicated that over 11,000 websites were not issuing valid P3P policies as requested by Microsoft.”

EU proposes new law named as “right to be forgotten” for the internet users which will be applied on Wednesday.

This law will promise the internet users that they can ask to delete their private data permanently, even from the firm’s databases.

The move is part of a wide-ranging overhaul of the commission’s 1995 Data Protection Directive.

Some organizations are going against this new law but it seems like it is difficult now to stop it from being applied.

A spokesman for the commissioner clarified that the action was designed to help teenagers and young adults manage their online reputations.

“These rules are particularly aimed at young people as they are not always as aware as they could be about the consequence of putting photos and other information on social network websites, or about the various privacy settings available,” said Matthew Newman.

This law will not give them the right to ask for material such as their police or medical records to be deleted.

Megaupload owner Kim Dotcom has appeared in New Zealand court to seek bail.

German national Kim Dotcom was arrested on Friday and the raid was requested by the US Federal Bureau of Investigation. FBI accused Doctom with the crimes of internet piracy and money laundering.

Prosecutors say he is a flight risk. The court later delayed a decision on bail.

“Given the breadth of issues covered in this bail application and the seriousness of the issues, I am going to reserve my decision,” said Judge David McNaughton.

US authorities are trying to stop this bail. They has accused Megaupload of giving loss to copyright holders more than $500m (£320m) in lost revenue.

Megaupload claims that the website is just a platform to share files. They have nothing to do with the complaints about pirated material.

“Mr Dotcom emphatically denies any criminal misconduct or wrongdoing,” Mr Dotcom’s lawyer, Paul Davison, said.

Prosecutor Anne Toohey, however, said that Mr Dotcom was a significant flight risk, citing his multiple passports, financial resources and previous criminal convictions for hacking and insider trading.
